HELP ADVOCATE FOR THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE
Help make Maui a better, safer place to bicycle. Join our Bike Advocacy Committee to be part of the change you want to see.Our Bike Advocacy Committee members meet with and also communicate by phone, letter and email with our local elected officials, including Maui County Councilmembers, Mayor Alan Arakawa and members of the Maui County Department of Public Works and Planning. We testify at County budget hearings and attend meetings of the Maui Metropolitan Planning Organization (Maui MPO) Technical Advisory Committee (TAC).
We’re also in contact with NPAC–Nutrition and Physical Activity Coalition (HEAL), local community associations, such as the Kihei Community Association, West Maui Taxpayers association, Wailuku community association, and Haiku Community Association.
|We also communicate with representatives of the Hawaii Department of Transportation as well as the representatives of the Federal Highway Administration.
We’ve also formed Regional Advocacy Groups, which focus on specific regions of Maui. Our Regional Advocacy Groups offer a great way to work with others in your nearby community on improving bicycle-related infrastructure. Learn more.
