June 10 Women’s Pau Hana Bike Ride and Social Event

The popularity of bicycling among women is rising nationwide, according to the League of American bicyclists.  Letʻs grow that trend by supporting women cyclists on Maui! Whether you are a guy or gal, bring a girlfriend on June 10, 2016 and let’s ride and have fun together as the sun is setting.

If you want to do a fun, scenic group ride, meet at the parking lot at Mulligan’s on the Blue with your bike at 4:30 to 4:45 pm.  You must wear a helmet and bring your own drinking water.  Weʻll ride towards Makena Beach and Golf Resort, then cycle back for a fun gathering at Mulliganʻs.
If you don’t have a bike yet or don’t get off work until later but want to meet other cyclists and see what this group is about, come join us for drinks, food and music around 6:15pm. A large table is reserved under Sookie Kunst.
Location: Meet at the parking lot of Mulligan’s on the Blue
100 Kaukahi St
Wailea, Maui, HI 96753
http://mulligansontheblue.com/
NOTE: We have reserved a table for 15 people at 6:15 just to have that in place.
There is a great local band Soul Kitchen that will be playing at 7pm.
Details of the ride: Meet at the parking lot at Mulligan’s with your bike at 4:30 to 4:45 pm.  At 5:00 pm we will ride together with group ride leaders in front, back and floating in between to ensure all riders are safe and included. This is a social ride appropriate for all levels from beginners to intermediate. There will be a review of basic hand signals and the ABC Quick Check (for safety) before we ride. Group rides are great way to learn new skills, ride safely, and have a great time with fellow cyclists.

We will ride approximately 5 miles over rolling hills on Makena Road to Makena Beach and Golf Resort and back to Mulligan’s where we have a big table reserved for socializing, drinks, pupus and music. Please join us and let’s get Maui Women on a roll! https://mauibicyclingleague.org/2016/04/04/women-on-a-roll/.
All organized rides are free for MBL members. Non-members and visitors are invited to join the ride but are asked to consider joining MBL or making a small donation to help fund the organization’s efforts for more bicycle pathways and bike lanes on Maui.
Please RSVP for this event by sending an e-mail to maui@hbl.org.
MBL rides are a fun way to ride safely in a group, meet other cyclists and learn paths around the island. Look for additional updates at www.mauibicyclingleague.org
