Save the date for our upcoming Ride Leader Training! Training will consist of two parts:
Part 1: March 14 (Tues) from 5:45 – 7:15PM
Virtual training via ZOOM – link will be provided upon registration
This 90-minute virtual training will be conducted via Zoom and will review what it means to be a ride leader, best practices on route planning, crash protocols, etc.
Part 2: March 18 (Sat) from 10am – 12pm
**To complete the training, you will need to participate in both sessions.**
This opportunity is offered to MBL members meeting the following requirements
- Current Maui resident
- Commitment to volunteering as a ride leader or an assistant ride leader
- Three or more years of cycling experience
- Confidence bicycling on roads and working with groups

The training will be conducted by Malia Harunaga, Director of Adult Education at the Hawaii Bicycling League (located on O‘ahu). Malia is a certified League Cycling Instructor and one of 18 Coaches certified nationally by the League of American Bicyclists.
We are very excited to offer this training for ride leaders so we can hold more group rides for the Maui cycling community. More people riding will help us advocate for a bicycle-friendly Maui.
